Representatives from 5 continents will gather in Lisbon
Smart Recovery Sweden will participate in Smart Recovery side-event day 22. of oktober.
Representatives from Poland, Ukraine, Sweden, Denmark, Spain, Ireland, Estonia, Nigeria, Indonesia, Hong Kong, United Kingdom, Australia and the United States will convene to explore topics related to SMART’s self-empowering principles and practices.
Presentation topics will include:
- The addiction crisis in Nigeria, led by Dr. Honest Anaba of Resurgence Mental Health Support Initiative, Lagos.
- Living with substance use disorder in Indonesia, led by Sam Nugraha, the Executive Director of SMART Recovery Indonesia.
- Innovatively reaching priority populations, led by April Long, CEO SMART Recovery Australia.
There will also be a general presentation about what makes SMART Recovery unique by Dr. Tom Horvath, one of the co-founders of SMART and a Global Research Advisory Committee Member from the USA.
Smart Recovery will also participate in Main event Lisbon Addiction Conference 2024 (23-25 of oktober) and holding a booth, where participants of the global conference kan gather information from Smart Recovery as a selfhelpkoncept.
